Submission to add the REH poetry collection

I'm holding your submission to add a record for this publication, chiefly because it has several errors which will have to be corrected if accepted. The author should be Robert E. Howard, not Frank Coffman. We credit the author in the Author field of COLLECTION-typed records. Editors are only credited in ANTHOLOGY, NONFICTION, and MAGAZINE-typed records.

Other problems:

  • Publication type: ANTHOLOGY is for books that contain works by more than one author. If a book contains stories (or poems, in this case) by a single author, it should be typed as COLLECTION.
  • Price field: One record stands for one edition and/or printing. So there should be separate records for the hardcover and the softcover editions. Only one price should be given in the field.
  • Coverart URL field: We can't link to image files hosted on non-permitting websites (like Lulu). You'll have to upload an image file to the ISFDB server, using the link in the publication record (once it's in the database). If I have time, I will go to Lulu, copy the image and upload it to the record.
  • Pub binding field: Should be "hc" for hardcover, "tp" for trade paperback. "octavo" is almost always for periodicals that are 5.5 x 8.5 inches.
  • Page count field: Should use "+" instead of "plus" to add the roman-numbered pages.

Also, please don't make multiple submissions for the same publication. All submissions go into a moderating queue and will eventually be processed (by human moderators!) before the record can enter the database. Some submissions (like this one) takes more time than others.
