::: Alas, it's not a few, in a system like yours, it's quite usual to see the creation of a caste of "super-users" that end by enforcing their foreign typographic ways (Stonecreek [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/view_submission.cgi?4287692 here]), their formats (Linguist [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/view_submission.cgi?4278864 here]) or are just bright enough to copy pure bullshit from unreliable secondary sources  (DirkPBroer [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/view_submission.cgi?4398486 here]). FYI
  • As existing data on my PVed publications seems to be routinely entered, reformatted, altered or degraded by users and moderators without notification and without a single copy of the books involved, the result is usually just bibliographical bullshit.
  • Thus I just disawow any data that is supposedly PVed by me, the more so because I have not and will not enter or correct any information that may be changed at a moderator's whim.
  • For this reason, it's useless to ask me anything about my PVed publications. Just continue to deface the data as before and don't bother me.

Welcome!

Hello, C1, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!.--Dirk P Broer 18:39, 12 February 2019 (EST)

Três Mundos e um Médico

Hi, I just added content to Três Mundos e um Médico, and then I discovered your verification. Perhaps you can add the page numbers?--Dirk P Broer 18:41, 12 February 2019 (EST)

Formats of verified books

Hello,

You have 34 verified books which have their format set to "unknown". As the verification means that you have the book, can you please update the format? Thanks! Annie 20:38, 23 July 2019 (EDT)

Can I ask why? If you do not have access to the books, they should not have been verified. If you have been working from rebound copies, the notes should say so. The whole point of the verification system is that someone had had their eyes on the books. Annie 12:17, 24 July 2019 (EDT)
I want to remind You of the list here, too. --Zapp 06:16, 3 October 2019 (EDT)

Os Dorsai Perdidos

Hi, I have expanded the info for your verified record of Os Dorsai Perdidos.--Dirk P Broer 05:41, 26 July 2019 (EDT)

Escales 2000

Hi, I've imported content for your verified copy of Escales 2000. I've also added the number of pages, the ISBN and the cover artist.--Dirk P Broer 08:22, 11 September 2019 (EDT)

Le Wendigo

Hi, I've imported content for your verified copy of Le Wendigo. I've also entered the number of pages and the external identifiers as they were not entered by you. A question: Why do you verify, and what do you think that it means? Your verified copies are high on our maintenance list for missing information, and all you can do is foul-mouthing in the yellow epistle above.--Dirk P Broer 05:01, 12 September 2019 (EDT)

L'Ange de l'abîme

Hi, I completed the bibliographic details for your verified copy of L'Ange de l'abîme that you can't seem to be bothered with. It featured on this maintenance report, where your name is the most frequent.--Dirk P Broer 09:15, 12 September 2019 (EDT)

La forêt sombre

Replaced cover scan by a better one (why use Amazon since you are PV1 ?), and added missing artist's name to your verified. Normally, the data is on the back cover of these publications Linguist 05:12, 17 September 2019 (EDT).

O vale da criação

I added the artist Manuel Dias to this pub from Bibliowiki of Fantastic Literature in Portuguese. --Zapp 05:40, 19 September 2019 (EDT)

Interior art for Die Triffids / Die Expedition der "Space Beagle"

Hi. I accepted a submission adding INTERIORART records to your verified Die Triffids / Die Expedition der "Space Beagle". Please check that you see the same in your copy. I also left a note for the editor about notifying primary verifiers of such changes. Thanks. --MartyD 11:15, 5 October 2019 (EDT)

Strange Horizons: The Spectrum of Science Fiction

I'll be entering the contents for your verified Strange Horizons. Also a note, most of the essays were published earlier in a briefer version (from page iv). No indication how much briefer these versions were, so I'll variant them to the originals. Thanks, --Willem 15:00, 8 October 2019 (EDT)

Opération Wolf

You verified this pub as Your own. Can You confirm the publication DL = September 1982 as seen at nooSFere website? --Zapp 07:26, 15 November 2019 (EST)

As indicated on top of this page, I have decided that I have no time to loose in entering or giving data that may be unilateraly and without notice changed by some people that seem above rules and politness. Note that conversely you've always been correct in sourcing and describing the changes you made.C1 07:45, 15 November 2019 (EST)
