Welcome!

Hello, Perfectfacet2000xxx, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- JLaTondre (talk) 22:51, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

Free Fall

With respect to your submission of Free Fall:

  1. Is this a published work?
  2. Does this meet our definition of speculative fiction?

Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 22:51, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

FREE FALL is a comlete work with nummber 5 rewrite before submission.
It is a work of fiction —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Perfectfacet2000 (talkcontribs) .
That does not answer the questions. Please answer the questions. Also, it looks like you have created two accounts (Perfectfacet2000xxx & Perfectfacet2000)? Please pick one or the other and stick with it. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 14:20, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
It's clear from the submission that the book has not been published, making it ineligible for inclusion in the database. The submission should be rejected. If the novel is science fiction (or any of the various subgenres of speculative fiction), after the book has been published, please return to the ISFDB and make a new submission providing all the pertinent publication data. Thanks you. Mhhutchins 15:44, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
It isn't clear at all that this qualifies as speculative fiction. I see no point in telling the editor to come back later only to re-reject it then. I'll wait a bit for an answer and provide the user more complete guidance. We may have different approaches to getting there, but the result will be the same. -- JLaTondre (talk) 16:11, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
