Welcome!

Hello, W M ONeal, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

Changes to the bio page et al

I have edited the biography page to include only biographical data. The other data was moved to a new bibliographic comments page. Both are linked to the author summary page for William Markly O’Neal . I have also created a record for the collection Fishing in Brains for an Eye with Teeth. Request

I have just also had two new stories published I would like to add to my list.

Salacious Tales is an anthology currently available on both Amazon.com and also Barnes & Noble. It was published last month, this year. My two stories are: "Blood of Bacchus" and also "Flattery Will Get You Nowhere."

http://www.amazon.com/Salacious-Tales-David-M-Fitzpatrick/dp/0983334625/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1371330559&sr=1-1

Could you possibly add those two newly published stories to my list here?

Thanks a bunch!

Done. Here's a link to the publication record. If you have a copy of the book, please update the record to add the page numbers for the stories, and do a primary verification of the record. Thanks. Mhhutchins 03:23, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

I do have a copy of the book in my hand. I can't figure out how to do the primary verification you ask for however. I click on Primary or even Primary 2 but I see no place where it asks for info or allows me to enter info.

I can verify every page that every story starts on, not just my own stories, if that is what you desire. Could you please just give me more detailed instructions on how to do what you suggest. I have gone to the links here that explain the verification but again: I don't see any way to ENTER that desired info.

I would be very happy to help verify all the page #s for all the stories in the book... if you could just help me figure out the process.

Thanks!

Should I just email YOU the page numbers or is there a way for me to enter the requested data? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by W M Oneal (talkcontribs) .

About primary verification: there's a link in the Welcome section above. Or just go to the publication record, click on the link "Verify This Pub" under the Editing Tools menu. On the next page check the button in the center column ("Verified") on the "Primary" line. That's it. You've done a Primary Verification of the record, meaning that you can attest to the validity of the data of the record because you have an actual copy of the publication.
About adding page numbers: go to the publication record, click on the link "Edit This Pub" under the Editing Tools menu. On the next page go down to the Contents section and enter the starting page number of each title in the first field (labeled "Page"). When you've finished, go to the bottom of the page and click the "Submit Data" button.
Also, don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each posting that you make on a wiki page. This automatically signs and dates the message. Thanks. Mhhutchins 18:17, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
