Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

ISFDB's inclusion policy on webzines

As stated in our Rules of Acquisition:

Works published in a web-based publication (webzine) and available only as an HTML readable file are not eligible for inclusion with the following exceptions:

• It is published by a market which makes the author eligible for SFWA membership (listed here).
• It has been shortlisted for a major award. (This last may include works which are self-published by an author on their own website. Otherwise such works are not eligible.)

Under this policy Perihelion Science Fiction doesn't qualify for the ISFDB. If you'd like to present a case in changing this policy please start a discussion on the Rules and Standards Discussion page. Thanks. Mhhutchins 18:13, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

Ezines: Perihelion Science Fiction

With respect, you are citing Rules of Acquisition that apply to stories. From what I read, those rules have long since been amended and online magazines, eZines, webzines, are currently acceptable.

So, having read everything I can find here concerning ezines, I would request Perihelion Science Fiction[1] be reconsidered for inclusion. The Internet is a formidable means of communication now, perhaps even eclipsing print media. I understand the earlier questions concerning the impermanence of cyberspace. However, I religiously maintain every issue of Perihelion that has ever been produced. I'd be more than happy to work with ISFDb staff making my archives available in some fashion. The ezine version of Perihelion has an ISSN, has been regularly published on a monthly basis for close to three years, and pays semi-professional rates. We have published stories from many award-winning authors. I believe any concerns over the "reality" of ezines has long since passed. They are as popular, stable, and accessible as print magazines ever were.

Furthermore, Perihelion was established by the same editorial staff in 1967 as a print periodical and is listed in the ZineWiki pages[2]. The current ezine is the resurrected online version of the magazine upgraded to semi-professional status. EdPerihelion 20:28, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

In order to consolidate discussion, I have removed your post at ISFDB talk:Policy. The Rules and Standards Discussion page is the better venue (both in terms of place and in terms of participants).
